Welcome to Wandile's portfolio. Wandile is a perfect hybrid between Creative and Technician, the magnum opus being "The Film". Wandile is a Production Manager, Creative Director, Photographer, Videographer, Sound Engineer, AV Technician, Set Designer, and Video Editor.
About Me
My Name is Wandile Hlosokuhle Ndlovu Also known as uWah. I am an overall creative and technician, and I always say if you can conceptualize it, I can pull it off. I am an audio-video and lighting technician, who also has a passion for experimenting with new tech and automated systems. On the artistic side I am a concept artist, visual artist, photographer, videographer, creative director and musician, but my first love will always be film. The main reason I do so much is, that I never want there to be any aspect of production that I don't know about and cannot do, and I love learning and breaking things until I fix them. In my journey of finding myself, I have discovered things like Branding, visual storytelling, and leadership as things that i exel in, and that i never thought id be good at. Let me show you some of the work that I have done in recent years.

Long Live The Patriachy is a project by The Nuance that speaks bout the journey of becoming a man and poses the question is the Patriachy still important. Wandile Partneresd up with Sisipho Mbambo aka Sillustrates to create The cover and the animations that come with each song.
I Came Here To Dance (Music Video)
I Came To Dance Is a music Video By Yezeni, released on the 24th of January 2024. Yezeni speaks of leaving behind the dramas of life, " he just came here to dance" I directed and edited the music video, in collaboration with Mzu Nhlabathi and Dennis Dvorak

Academy Of Sound Engineering
I studied Sound Engineering at the Academy of Sound Engineering and majored in Post Production
Sound Engineer
I have been doing live sound since 2015 and freelancing ever since. I have worked on small-scale shows and also big shows too. I have done sound for shows like 5live with 5FM, and a few shows at the SABC while I was still a student at The Academy of Sound Engineering. I have done sound and Recording for all shoots and shows at Soda Studios JHB since the beginning of 2022. I have also recorded and mixed dozens of songs for various artists and produced and performed on many more.
Technician and Production Manager at Soda Studios JHB
I have worked at Soda Studios as a Sound Engineer, Videographer, Lighting Technician, and overall Studio Technician. I have handled productions for some of the most prominent artists, in the country. I have worked on Films, live performances, masterclasses, and live broadcasts. Soda Studios is also one of the first Virtual Music Venues in the world, mixing Live performances and shows in Virtual Reality.
Set design Assistant, No modern Slave
Since 2020 I have been a Set design assistant for No Modern Slave by Gift Kgosi, who is a Fashion Designer and Set Designer. As a set design assistant, I have done the curation of spaces and set design for live shows including Sun El Musician, Msaki, Philani Bubu Madala Kunene, and many more.
Sound and Audio - Black Boy Meets Boogeman 360 Short film
I worked on the 360 film Black Boy Meets Boogeyman as a Lighting and Sound assistant. The film is a has multiple choice answers that give a different result depending on the choices that are made.
La Bienelle Immersive film festival
September 2022 I was a part of the Soda World crew that brought a live virtual reality performance in Johannesburg to the La Beinelle immersive Film festival. The performances were live in VR and in Venice, people could log in and watch the performance in real time. I played the role of was a production manager, and technical Director.
Human Rights Festival 2023
I was the technical manager at the 2023 Constitutional Hill's first-ever human rights festival in the Metaverse, by Sodaworld. My role as Technical Manager was to make sure that sound, video, and d stream were working simultaneously, form the speeches to the performances.
My Services
The services that I offer are Sound Engineering and Technician and junior Production Manager for live and post-production.
As a production Manager, I have done live events and had teams managed of up to 35 people. I have produced short films and podcasts. I have been Studio Manager at Soda Studios for the past 6 months, and my role has been to manage the studio, facilitate clients, and facilitate events and shows.
Sound Engineer
I have been a live and studio mixing engineer for 7 years. I've worked on some big shows as a techie and some shows as a live mixing engineer. I have handled all types of mixers from analogue to digital. Some of the mixing consoles that i know well and very comfortable with are- SSL (Solid State logic )- S6 Protools mixer - Vi 1 by sound Craft -Beringer X32 - Allen and heath QU 16and many more.. Some notable shows that I've worked on. - Zoe Modiga live at SABC - Thabsie live for broadcast at SABC - Black Motion and Nasty C at SABC with 5Live- Sound for 360 film Black Boy Meets Boogie Man - Recoding and mixing for 50 Racks mini series - 48 hour film competition 2018 and 2019

Production Manager
I am a Junior production manager, for live and film. I have been a production manager for a couple of projects including Short films, live shows and performances, podcasts and and social events. I have a good knowledge of what is required for a good production with my knowledge of cameras, lights, set design and sound, come in handy to fully manage a production equipment needed and Teams required.
